This Changes & Cancellation Policy explains the rules and process for modifying or canceling reservations made through www.myflightsportal.com. It applies to all bookings made with My Flights Portal, Inc. (“My Flights Portal,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

My Flights Portal is an independent Online Travel Agency (OTA) and acts as an intermediary between the traveler and the airline/supplier. All change/cancellation eligibility, penalties, and approvals are determined by the airline’s fare rules and supplier policies.

1) Important Disclosures

  • Airlines control fare rules, schedule changes, cancellations, re-accommodation, baggage rules, and operational decisions.
  • Your ticket may be non-refundable and/or non-changeable depending on the fare you purchased.
  • If changes or cancellations are permitted, the airline may apply:
  • Change fees or cancellation penalties
  • Fare difference (difference between old fare and new fare)
  • No-show penalties

Ticket issuance may be fulfilled through airline consolidators and ticketing partners, and servicing may be subject to supplier acceptance and processing timelines.

2) 24-Hour Cancellation (U.S. Itinerary Rule)

For certain itineraries involving travel to, from, or within the United States, a 24-hour cancellation option may apply when the booking is made at least 7 days before departure, subject to applicable rules and eligibility.

If your booking qualifies, you may be able to cancel within 24 hours of purchase for a refund of the airfare and mandatory taxes/fees.

Any service fee charged by My Flights Portal is non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

Eligibility can vary based on ticket status, supplier acceptance, and fare conditions.

3) How to Request a Change or Cancellation

Please keep ready:

  • Booking reference / order number
  • Passenger name(s) (as on passport)
  • Travel date and route
  • Your requested change (new dates, routing, preferred times, etc.)

4) Change Policy (Date/Time/Route/Airline)

Changes are allowed only if your fare rules permit them.

If your change is allowed, you may be charged:

  • Airline change penalty (if applicable)
  • Fare difference (almost always applies if the new fare is higher)
  • Taxes/fees difference
  • Supplier processing fees (if applicable)
  • My Flights Portal service fee (if applicable) for servicing/handling

Service Fees: Any service fee charged by My Flights Portal (pre-booking, at checkout, or post-booking) is strictly non-refundable, except where required by law.

Important Notes

  • New fares may be higher than your original fare.
  • Availability is real time and can change quickly.
  • Some low-cost or promotional fares do not allow any changes.
  • If you change one segment on a round trip, airlines may re-price the entire itinerary.

5) Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are governed by airline fare rules and may be restricted.

If your ticket is non-refundable:

  • You may receive:
  • No refund, or
  • A refund of certain unused taxes (if permitted), or
  • Airline credit (if offered by the airline)

If your ticket is refundable:

Refunds may still be reduced by:

  • Airline cancellation penalties
  • Supplier fees
  • No-show penalties
  • Fare rule deductions

All approved refunds are processed back to the original form of payment, subject to airline/supplier processing and bank timelines.

6) Service Fees (Strict)

Any service fee charged by My Flights Portal is non-refundable.

This includes service fees charged:

  • Before booking (research/assistance, if applicable)
  • At checkout (booking facilitation, if applicable)
  • After booking (changes, cancellations, rebooking, document support, supplier liaison, priority handling, etc.)

Exception: Service fees are refundable only where required by applicable law or if explicitly stated in writing by My Flights Portal at the time the fee is charged.

7) Name Corrections & Passenger Details

  • Airlines have strict rules about names.
  • Minor spelling corrections may be possible depending on airline policy.
  • Many airlines treat name changes as a new ticket purchase and may not permit them.
  • Any correction request is subject to airline approval and may involve additional fees.
  • Please verify passenger names and travel details carefully before purchase.

8) Schedule Changes, Airline Cancellations & Irregular Operations

If the airline changes your schedule, cancels a flight, or there is irregular operation (delay/cancellation/re-routing), the airline controls the available options, which may include:

  • Re-accommodation on another flight
  • Travel credit (where offered)
  • Refund eligibility (based on airline policy and applicable rules)

My Flights Portal can assist with submitting requests and explaining available options, but the final decision remains with the airline/supplier.

9) No-Show Policy

If you miss your flight (“no-show”), airlines may:

  • Cancel the remaining itinerary automatically
  • Make the ticket non-refundable
  • Apply additional penalties

No-show cases are generally not eligible for refunds unless fare rules or law allow it.

10) Multi-Airline / Codeshare / Connecting Itineraries

If your itinerary includes multiple airlines (including codeshare flights), the most restrictive fare rule may apply. Changes and cancellations can be more limited and may require coordination between carriers and suppliers.

11) Processing Time & Final Confirmation

Requests are handled based on fare rules, supplier processing, and airline response times.

If a change requires re-issuance, the booking is confirmed only after the updated e-ticket is issued and delivered.

Refund approvals and posting times vary by airline and your bank/card issuer.
