This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for reservations made on www.myflightsportal.com. It applies to all customers who purchase travel services through My Flights Portal, Inc. (“My Flights Portal,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

My Flights Portal is an independent Online Travel Agency (OTA) and acts as an intermediary between the traveler and the airline/supplier. Refund eligibility is determined by the airline’s fare rules and applicable U.S. regulations, and not by My Flights Portal.

1) Key Terms

Airline/Supplier Refund: A refund (full or partial) processed according to the airline’s fare rules and/or applicable law.

Service Fees: Fees charged by My Flights Portal for booking facilitation, customer support, post-booking servicing, and related operational handling (if applicable and disclosed).

Non-Refundable Fare: A fare where the airline does not allow a refund after ticketing, except where required by law.

2) Our Role in Refunds

  • My Flights Portal does not control airline rules, penalties, refund timelines, or approval decisions.
  • Airlines/suppliers decide whether a ticket is refundable and what deductions apply.
  • We can only submit and process refund requests as permitted by the fare rules of your ticket and the airline’s procedures.

3) U.S. Consumer Disclosure (Important)

  • Airlines control flight operations (delays, cancellations, schedule changes, and re-accommodation).
  • When an airline cancels a flight or makes a significant schedule change, you may be entitled to a refund under applicable U.S. rules and the airline’s policies, depending on the circumstances and eligibility.
  • If you accept alternative travel or a credit offered by the airline, refund rights may change based on the airline’s terms.
  • We provide support by communicating your request to the airline/supplier, but the airline/supplier makes the final decision.

4) Service Fees Are Non-Refundable (Strict)

Any service fee charged by My Flights Portal is strictly non-refundable.

This includes service fees charged before booking, during checkout, or after booking (post-ticketing), such as fees for:

  • Booking facilitation and reservation handling
  • Customer support and servicing
  • Changes, cancellations, or rebooking assistance
  • Name correction guidance/requests
  • Supplier liaison and processing support
  • Any other operational or administrative handling

Service fees are separate from airline charges and will not be returned, even if:

  • The airline issues a refund (full or partial)
  • The booking is canceled or changed
  • You choose not to travel
  • The airline imposes penalties or denies a refund
  • A schedule change occurs
  • A refund is approved only for unused taxes

Exception: Service fees will only be refunded if required by applicable law or if explicitly stated otherwise in writing by My Flights Portal at the time the fee is charged.

5) When a Refund May Be Possible

Refunds may be available in limited situations, including:

  • Refundable fares (as per fare rules)
  • Airline-initiated cancellations or qualifying schedule changes where a refund is permitted by airline policy and/or applicable law
  • Duplicate charges or verified billing errors (subject to investigation)
  • Cases required by law, where applicable

If your ticket is non-refundable, you may only be eligible for:

  • Refund of certain unused taxes (if allowed by the airline), or
  • Future travel credit (if offered by the airline), or
  • No refund (depending on fare rules)

6) Ticket Status & Refund Eligibility

A reservation is confirmed only after e-ticket issuance.

A) If the ticket is NOT issued

If your booking is not ticketed/issued, any refund depends on supplier acceptance and payment verification outcomes. If payment was captured and the booking cannot be ticketed, a refund may be initiated accordingly.

B) If the ticket IS issued

Once ticketed, airline fare rules apply. Refunds are governed strictly by:

  • The fare rules attached to your ticket
  • Airline/supplier refund procedures and approval
  • Applicable U.S. regulations (where relevant)

7) How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us with:

  • Reason for the request

8) Refund Processing Timeline

Refund processing generally involves:

  • We submit the request to the airline/supplier
  • Airline/supplier reviews eligibility under fare rules
  • If approved, airline/supplier releases the refund
  • Your bank/card issuer posts it to the original payment method

Timelines vary by airline/supplier and payment provider. After an airline releases a refund, banks/card issuers may take additional business days to post it. My Flights Portal cannot guarantee exact posting dates.

9) Deductions & Partial Refunds

If approved, a refund may be reduced due to:

  • Airline cancellation penalties
  • No-show penalties
  • Supplier fees
  • Fare rule deductions
  • Portions of taxes that are non-refundable under airline rules
  • Currency conversion or foreign transaction impacts (if applicable)

In some cases, only unused taxes are refundable (if permitted by the airline).

10) No-Show Policy

If you do not travel on a scheduled flight, airlines may treat the ticket as a no-show, which can:

  • Cancel remaining segments
  • Make the ticket entirely non-refundable
  • Apply additional penalties

No-show refunds are typically not permitted unless fare rules or law allow it.

11) Chargebacks / Payment Disputes

If you file a chargeback/dispute while a refund is being processed, the airline/supplier and/or payment processor may:

  • Pause or deny refund processing
  • Require the dispute to be withdrawn before releasing any refund
  • Request written confirmation that the dispute is closed

To avoid delays, contact us first so we can review the case and guide you through the proper process.

12) Separate Purchases / Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for refunds related to services purchased outside MyFlightsPortal.com (such as hotels, insurance, car rentals, or other providers). Each provider’s rules apply.

13) Updates to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy periodically. The latest version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
